Professor and Head,
Dr. Vijay Sakhuja is Professor and Head at the Center of Excellence for Geopolitics and International Studies (CEGIS), REVA University. He is the former Director of the National Maritime Foundation, New Delhi. He has also been a faculty member of several think tanks and universities in India and abroad - Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS), Singapore; Cambodia Institute of Cooperation and Peace, Cambodia (CICP); Senior Fellow, Centre for Airpower Studies (CAPS) and Observer Research Foundation (ORF); Research Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), and United Service Institution of India (USI); Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar; Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar.
A former navy officer, Dr. Vijay Sakhuja received his M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Sakhuja has published over 50 books, edited/co-edited volumes, and monographs on geopolitics, technology, climate change, Blue Economy, and maritime history. Some of his important works are Asian Maritime Power in the 21st Century: Strategic Transactions - China, India, Southeast Asia; Nagapattinam to Suvarnadwipa: Reflections on the Chola Naval Expeditions to Southeast Asia; Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies: Maritime and Naval Operations; etc.
